Surbana Jurong signed an MOU with US-based Autodesk to build Surbana Jurong’s Building Information Modelling (BIM) knowledge base and jointly promote advanced technology adoption and digital skills development in the AEC industry, including the running of BIM workshops.
With this partnership, Surbana Jurong can better support our clients as the Group focuses on Integrated Digital Delivery, sustainable design and skills development to boost efficiency across architecture, engineering and construction industries.
Autodesk is a leader in design and engineering software such as Revit and AutoCad. The agreement with signed at Autodesk’s Toronto office on 24 September 2018.
At the heart of the collaboration is the extension of BIM beyond architectural design into Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) and other transformative areas such as the use of AI in BIM and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. IDD is a key thrust under Singapore’s Construction Industry Transformation Map; enabled by BIM, IDD fully integrates processes and stakeholders along the value chain through advanced info-communications technology and smart technologies.
